A great concert of high energy post-bop jazz performed by pianist Red Garland's working trio (with Richard Davis on bass and Roy Haynes on drums) plus special guest Sadao Watanabe, Japan's preeminent jazz musician, on alto and soprano saxophone. A quartet of legendary players performing live under the sky in front of a noisy and appreciative audience. Performed at Den-en Colosseum, Tokyo, Japan July 30th 1978 and broadcast on NHK radio.
