Welcome to ANOTHER KIND OF BLUES – THE STORY OF CHARLIE HARPER AND THE UK SUBS – a feature length documentary film chronicling the turbulent life of Charlie Harper from his birth as the German bombs fell during the London Blitz through a life of rock’n’roll discovery in the 1950s and 1960s, busking in London’s Soho alongside Rod Stewart and Donovan, an obsession with The Rolling Stones, celebrity hairdressing, pub rock, and discovering punk rock!! A discovery that would see the formation of The UK Subs and a fifty year career touring the world, playing stadiums, massive headline shows, hit singles, band break ups, band re-unions, the ups and downs of touring, all helmed by the inimitable Charlie Harper
With contributions from band members past and present, alongside long-term fans and collaborators, great recently discovered unseen archive footage, Charlie’s guide to Soho and more....ANOTHER KIND OF BLUES – THE STORY OF CHARLIE HARPER AND THE UK SUBS is shaping up to be a classic (even if we say so ourselves!).
