John O’Sullivan - Vocals & guitar,
Simon O’Grady - Bass, guitars, piano and vocals Peter Burke - drums, percussion and vocals.
In early 1978 John O’Sullivan, Simon O’Grady and Peter Burke, three young school boys from Coventry, inspired by The Beatles, The Monkees, early Pink Floyd & The Rutles, decided to form a band.
By 1980, being just about old enough to get into the local pubs, they joined a vibrant Coventry music scene, still buzzing from the ongoing successes of the Specials and the Selector.
In 1983 the boys reinvented themselves as 20 Days. With a new name and a new set of songs, so began their long association with Cabin Studios and producer Paul Sampson (The Primitives, Catatonia, The La’s etc). They signed with the studio’s in-house label, Sonar Records, and released their first record, a 12” E.P.  in 1985, entitled Freefall.
One of their ‘fans’, Horace Panter of the Specials, was nice enough to finance the recording of their entire set at Cabin Studios in 1986.
After extensive gigging on the local Midlands scene, the band gained a reputation as one of the best live acts around.

This was a busy time for the boys, since, as well as playing with the Hungry i (which they had all recently joined), John, Simon & Peter continued to play as 20 Days (sometimes actually supporting the Hungry i), Peter completed recording session work with bands such as Thieves and Band of Holy Joy, and John was also guitarist & singer with Martyn Bates on four tours of Europe (including memorable gigs in Berlin just days after the collapse of the Wall, and Czechoslovakia during the Velvet Revolution).
The band played extensively in London and around the country, securing a high-profile support gig with INXS in 1995, which got them onto the front page of the Coventry Telegraph Newspaper, generating considerable Music Industry interest, bringing them tantalisingly close to that elusive record deal.
Since then, they have returned to the stage for special occasions over the years, including the 25th anniversary of Sonar Records in 2009. They also accepted a personal invite to perform at ex-Style Council member Anthony Harty’s album launch at The Two Tone centre in Coventry in 2011 (where they were introduced by Horace Panter as “The second best band in Coventry!”)
More recently, the guys have returned to the recording studio as 20 Days, with producer Paul Adkins (Spaceman 3, Spiritualised etc) to record a second EP, 40 years after the first 20 Days EP!
