Frank Zappa - Live 1969 - CD

Despite being successful in Europe, The Mothers were not doing well financially, but it was this struggling ensemble who performed a stunning show at Lawrence University Chapel in Appleton, WI on 23rd May 1969 which Zappa considered to be one of his favourite Mothers shows from that era. Performed less than a month after the release of The Mothers Of Invention’s sixth studio album Uncle Meat, the concert features an extended version of the side-long King Kong, plus the title track, alongside cuts from previous albums, the yet to be released Weasels Ripped My Flesh and one of the earliest live recordings of My Guitar - all performed live for broadcast by PBS.
