Pat Metheny’s all-star trio with bassist Dave Holland and drummer Jack DeJohnette convened on New Year’s Eve 1981 to celebrate at Ornette Coleman’s Creative Music Studio in Woodstock, New York. The result was an epic blowing session that showcased their abilities as soloists and collaborators, giving everything all the time.  Featuring classic tunes by Coleman and Metheny and one composition a piece by Holland and DeJohnette.
