Ceri Justice - Cut Loose - CD

Without a shadow of doubt 2025 is the year Ceri Justice is going to Cut Loose. Not only is that the title of her brand new album but an aspiration and determination on her part that will mark her down as a key player on the UK Americana Blues scene.
West Midlands based Ceri embraces her Irish ancestry in her writing (the remains of a family castle, Duarrigle still stands in Co Cork), but infuses it with a powerful rootsy flavouring of Americana Blues and Country. Her second album Walk In Shadow gained lots of favourable media feedback and radio recognition, and now with Cut Loose, Ceri has really found her feet and her direction, honing her songwriting skills and showing the confidence that comes with dedication and belief.
The talent has always been there, in her early twenties Ceri decided to enter a national singer songwriter competition, sending in a  recording of three songs and found herself invited to perform at the Marquee Club, introduced onstage by Radio 1 DJ Mark Skinner, with  the head of Polydor one of the judges. Not only was Ceri the only girl left at this stage, but she had never gigged before! Being young and  unsure how to proceed it took a while for those early seeds of ambition to take root and grow. Over time Ceri started to make some demos, and began getting up on stage with other people's bands gaining know how and getting noticed. An introduction to Paul Johnston led to a songwriting partnership and eventually the debut album Justified in 2019.

With her band The Jury, Ceri has built up a dedicated following and is starting to gain recognition from further afield and looks forward to taking her band along as she broadens her horizons. The journey starts here and now as Ceri is truly Cut Loose.
