1971 was a relentlessly busy year for Elton. As well as promoting the forthcoming 'Madman Across The Water', his brief Japanese tour that October served as his introduction to audiences there. As such, he treated them to a banquet of songs, several rarely performed, played both solo and with Dee Murray and Nigel Olson behind him, as seen at this explosive concert at Kosienenkin Kaikan, Tokyo on October 10, for broadcast on NHK radio. It’s essential for all his fans, and is presented here in a six panel digipak together with 8 page booklet containing background notes and images.
