While 'Inner Secrets' and 'Marathon' (1978 and '79 respectively) highlighted a further musical shift for the band, their commercial diversions had little impact on Santana or the art and soul of Carlos himself. His own trademark style found its way through solo releases in 'Oneness' and 'Swing Of Delight' while 1981's platinum selling 'Zebop!' openly confirmed the continuing appeal of Santana. The 1978-83 timeline represents a continuing strength for Santana, best reflected in the live performances where the group could always draw from a heavyweight back catalogue with contemporary hits such as Winning and Hold On enjoying equal popularity amongst stone cold classics in Evil Ways, Black Magic Woman and Samba Pa Ti.
Get Yer Vinyl Out invites you into the audience to witness Santana performing live, ripping it up with psychedelic sambas and Latin rock under one huge, hypnotic groove. Superb, professionally remastered original FM/TV broadcasts, fully restored with background liners and timeline photos, pressed on 180g vinyl and presented in a deluxe gatefold sleeve.
